RDPS has launched a science club in association with an organization Cool Junk Technologies Pvt. Ltd.’ The organization is responsible
for conducting club activities in accordance to the yearly schedule (delineated in advance) of the same. During these sessions, students
will learn / explore various scientific / Electronic concepts by making products based on them. It would allow students to design new and
effective circuits on their own and build confidence in them to have hands on each and every important electrical component.
Participants will be given a platform to use important electric components like IC’s, resistors, capacitors, LDR, LED, etc. to
make circuits like disco light, stair case lightning, burglar alarms, water level detectors and so on. Participants will be introduced to the concept of: Energy, Electrical Energy, Difference between Electrical and Electronics. Moreover the club also evaluates the participants with worksheet and presentations based on the concepts they have learnt in the year.
Objectives:
To augment the spirit of enquiry, creativity, objectivity and aesthetic sensibility among the students.
To facilitate young learners exposure to new ways of learning and experiencing science.
To inculcate the knowledge of electronic sciences in students.
To encourage peer learning among the students.
To make them aware about: Electricity: Current, Voltage, Resistance, Ohms Law, Circuit- Open and Closed, Series and Parallel Combination, Switch and Types, Alternating Current, Direct Current, Ampere Hour, Capacitor and Capacitance.
To make them observe the working and construction of Components: Light Emitting Diode (LED), Resistance, LDR (Light Dependant Resistor), Potentiometer, DC 9V Transistor Battery, Capacitor, SPDT Switch, Bell Switch.
To acquaint them the knowledge of taking measurement using a Multimeter.
To make them understand the concept of circuit Bread Boarding and its Importance.
To make them aware about the construction and working of Diodes and its application as switch, logic gates.
To make them observe the Digital logic gates and it's functioning.
To provide them the knowledge of Electro-magnetism- DC Motor and Relay.
To make them aware about the concept of Transistors: its construction and working.
To allow them to measure Transistors using Multimeter.
To make them use Transistor as Logic Gates and Switch.
To make them learn the construction of amplifier using Transistor.
